Welcome back to Hollow Bend, Kentucky, where love (and laughter) are just around the corner. When Andrew Bateman rolls into town in the midst of a snow storm, his first thought is that the place is hardly big enough for a dog crate, let alone the vet practice he’s looking for. When Andrew Bateman rolls into town in the midst of a snow storm, his first thought is that the place is hardly big enough for a dog crate, let alone the vet practice he’s looking for. Next thing he knows, his life is flashing in front of him—a depressingly short flash—as he skids right into the side of the local bar. Things start looking up when the vision he wakes to is not the Angel of Death, but a doctor. Well, actually a vet. Make that a vet tech, wearing red mittens. Who invites him home, where every inch is covered in holiday sparkles, cookies to be decorated, and an odd assortment of stray dogs, cats and puppies… There’s nothing merrier than a white Christmas in Kentucky!

Andrew had great internal dialog that made me chuckle at times. Immediate attraction can be amusing in books and it was fun that this one was laced with a bit of humor. I did a check and this novella is a follow up to a full length book. It seems to be the start of a series; I can only hope to see a glimpse of Billie and Andrew in other Kentucky books by Sarah Title. If you want a nice easy read by your Christmas tree one night when you can’t think of addressing another Christmas card – this is the novella for you! Kentucky Christmas is a short quick read. It took me a little under 2 hours to finish, which for me is perfect this time of year. Andrew travels to Hollow Bend on a sales trip. I felt that there was no character development and at most times the story didn’t seem to make a lot of sense to me. For a book this size there seemed to be too many characters which made it confusing. I received this book from netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to netgalley, Kensington Books, and Sarah Title. He crashes into a local bar because of the slippery roads and has Billie, the town vet tech, come to his rescue. She offers him a place to stay until his car is repaired. Andrew and Billie quickly fall into a Christmas romance. Well...physically at least. Andrew doesn't like Christmas at all because of a rough childhood and Billie is over-the-top into Christmas to the point of ridiculousness. The ridiculousness is, of course, my own opinion. But, it is a bit odd to me that one of the main reasons she never got her own place was because she didn't know where she would put all of her Christmas decorations. I realize this was just a novella but everything just felt too superficial to me. Billie's flippant attitude toward the physical relationship with Andrew turned me off. I didn't feel any romance...just Christmas lust. I suppose that I expected more sentimentality with a Christmas story. Also, during the banter between friends in the cookie scene felt like an outsider looking in on the situation. I'd rather feel like a part of the story - live the story with the characters - but, I just didn't know these friends well enough and felt no connection to them. So, the banter felt misplaced. Lastly, I don't think the cute cover is an accurate portrayal of the story. It was not a cute, cuddly, feel-good story. I'm so sorry, but this one just wasn't for me.

I read it in a little over an hour or so, and it was one of those sweet, uncomplicated kind of books that I just love reading during this time of the year. The book begins with Andrew Bateman accepting a job from his cousin as a veterinary supply salesman after he gets laid off from his real job as IT support for a law firm. He is not a very good salesman and is wanting to get through this last stop in a small town in Kentucky so he can head back North for home. Andrew gets lost while looking for a place to spend the night, and ends up sliding on the snow and crashing his car into the side of the local bar in Hollow Bend. He opens his eyes to find a woman with red mittens assisting him out of the car. The woman is Billie Morgan, a veterinary tech who is also the daughter of the vet that Andrew is supposed to be selling some new equipment to. After an overnight stay at the local hospital, the garage gives Andrew a car and he heads out to the vet's house while waiting for his car to be repaired. Having no place to stay, Billie offers to let him stay with her and her dad, and while he is there he not only fixes her computer, but also repairs the machine that he is supposed to be replacing with the equipment from his cousin's company. Of course there is a romantic attraction, as there always is in these types of books, and Andrew may just find love in the last place he would have expected. As I mentioned, this is a very short story. I would have loved to read more. I have always enjoyed these silly, sappy holiday romances and this is yet another that I will add to my collection. It was a fun little read, and I absolutely adored this sweet story. I received this ebook through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Selling vet equipment isn't his forte but he's meets Billie. He likes her and she's the one that saved him from his accident. Now she's offering him a place to stay and he takes her up on that. Billie likes the look of Andrew. He helped her out by fixing a machine instead of trying to sell one to her. She just feels comfortable with him. The town was welcoming and helpful. Everything that New York City isn't. Andrew was confused but he liked the feeling the got from it all. Even the sparkly crap. Sharing Christmas traditions with Billie and finally feeling like it was a holiday to celebrate instead of hide in a bathroom. Loved this cute little Christmas novella. It was an easy read and just what I love to read this time of year. Check it out and leave the author some love in the form of a review!

The characters in this novel are interesting and sympathetic. I just wish the story had been longer as I would have liked a bit more of the backstory of each character. Would I recommend? Yes. It's well worth spending the time to read if you like quick romances.

I read this in one sitting and enjoyed it a lot. I love reading about romantic heroes who aren’t the perfect stereotype you find more often than not in the genre, and Andrew is sweet, fun and has flaws aplenty. I also love coming across characters who wear glasses. Author Sarah Title had me smiling many times throughout this story. I like her sense of humour and I liked how she used it to create such likeable characters. Of course, novellas mean things have to happen faster than they do in a full length novel, but I was pretty much fine with the rate at which the relationship developed. This is a nice little read for the Christmas season. Review copy provided by NetGalley.

I like that the setting is a close knit community and that the people are ordinary people (not a millionaire or model in the bunch). The cast of characters are well rounded and relatable. That said, because this is a novella, I felt that there was kind of a rushed development in the relationship (I think it spanned 4 or 5 days) and not much room for delving into either character. A good way to pass an hour or so of leisure time.

3 1/2 stars.... Enjoyable! Kentucky Christmas is an upbeat, festive, romantic novella with pretty cool characters. Billie works in her dad's vet office, and Andrew is a traveling salesman selling... yes, vet supplies. Only he's a horrible salesperson. And he's completely smitten with Billie. She returns the sentiments, and boom, romance ensues. What I love about Kentucky Christmas is Billie's insouciance and Andrew's seriousness. Billie is up for anything, likes to party a little bit, and amps up Christmas with more kitsch than you can shake a leg at. Andrew appreciates Billie's fun-loving attitude, just as she appreciates his way with electronics, his Clark Kent glasses and the way his trousers fit. :) This isn't a serious book. Sometimes you need a pick-me-up, and Kentucky Christmas did that for me, with tinsel. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

This was a very quick little Christmas story without a lot of substance. We barely have time to get to know the two main characters before they have jumped into bed together. I didn't feel any real connection between Andrew and Billie, they just seem to be thrown together by chance and they go along with it. We briefly meet a few friend of Billie's and her father but not enough time is spent on any of them. The whole story felt like it was just written very quickly without a lot of thought. The best part of this book for me was the cover!

It was my goal to read Kentucky Christmas this season. I have had it on my kindle for a while. I never wanted to read a Christmas book during the summer so I purposely waited until now to read it. It is a quick read about an animal vet who loves to decorate at Christmas. A veterinarian salesman accidentally runs into the local bar. He is able to get a loaner from the car mechanic. Sarah Title has a great way of describing the intense suduction of her characters. Use a little imagination and m-m-m!!!

Wonderful Holiday novella, well worth the read. Kentucky Christmas could stand alone as a good Holiday read, but it is part of a series, and I believe continues an earlier story. Sarah Title has created a wonderful world in this book and populated it with the kind of people I would be thrilled to encounter. The town becomes a character in itself, and the setting is beautifully drawn. The characters are engaging and the story is well written. I will be seeking out the series. *I received my copy fr Wonderful Holiday novella, well worth the read. Review featured on www.books-n-kisses.com 2.5 Hearts This was a very short story. Only about 40 pages so I will keep this short. This is just an ok story. First there is way too many people named in this story and it gets confusing. Second the characters just really didn’t connect and finally it is written as if the characters are only teenagers and don’t have a mature bone in their body. Just not as good as I hoped. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. It's what you might expect a Rom/com Christmas story crammed into a novella length book. There is a fast moving romance, happy endings etc. but there was no conflict and even places where you might think you see it coming ( a father finding his adult daughter in bed with the stranger in town)? Leaving them alone overnight; adults or not;in his own house....I can only imagine the drama that results the next morning. Nope not even then. It was ok, but I also needed this story to be longer.

Sweet Christmas love story complete with a menagerie...little story of a salesman that has a car accident when his car spun out on ice. While the car is being repaired he gets a taste of Kentucky Christmas and it's traditions. Did I mention the veterinary technician? Oh, well read it and meet her, too.
